Michelin Restaurants in Stavanger: A Food Weekend Beyond Oslo
Stavanger's Michelin-starred restaurants, plus Sirkus Renaa and Ouch Burger, with official booking links, prices and opening hours.
Stavanger, Norway · 8 min read

If you're planning a Norwegian food trip from the UK, Oslo is the obvious starting point. This guide suggests also looking west to Stavanger, in the Rogaland region. When we checked, the MICHELIN Guide's Stavanger page listed one three-star restaurant and three one-star restaurants, which are the four we cover here. The same page lists three more restaurants without a star (Söl, Bravo and BELLIES), which this guide doesn't cover. To round out a weekend, we've added a bakery and pizzeria from the couple behind the three-star restaurant, and a burger bar for a casual meal.
How this guide is sourced. Michelin is used only for each restaurant's star level. Everything else (descriptions, addresses, hours, prices and booking links) comes from each restaurant's own website, checked on 18 October 2026. Prices are shown exactly as the restaurant's site gives them, in Norwegian kroner (NOK, written "kr" or ",-" on Norwegian sites). Menus, prices and hours change, so check the restaurant's site before you book. For any dietary requirements, contact the restaurant directly.
When we checked (18 October 2026), the MICHELIN Guide's Stavanger Bib Gourmand page listed no restaurants.
RE-NAA
MICHELIN: Three Stars, 2026 MICHELIN Guide (MICHELIN Guide page)
Book: Reserve at RE-NAA. This is the "Reservation" link on restaurantrenaa.no.
In its own words: RE-NAA calls itself "a seafood-driven tasting experience led by Sven Erik Renaa and his team". It says the menu is built around ingredients from Rogaland and the surrounding coastline, shaped by the seasons and the best produce available each day. The site describes Sven Erik Renaa's "coastal kitchen" as built mainly on seafood, "sharpened by fermentation, curing, and the logic of long winters", and says Torill Renaa "brings the warmth, the rhythm, the calm". It calls the dining room intimate, adding that "every seat is a chef's table".
Menu and prices (checked 18 October 2026): "A Taste of RE-NAA", NOK 5,000 per guest. The site lists three pairings:
- Unique & Honest: NOK 3,000
- Fine & Classic: NOK 7,500
- Non-alcoholic pairing: NOK 1,950
Dietary notes: the site says the menu is primarily seafood-based, that it can't accommodate vegan menus or menus free from milk protein, egg and citrus, and that it may not be able to accommodate requirements that need extensive changes to the menu.
Booking notes: the site says tables are available for 1–8 guests in the main dining room, and there's a private dining room for larger parties. If online booking shows no availability, contact [email protected]. The site doesn't list opening days, so check dates on the booking page.
Address: Nordbøgata 8, N-4006 Stavanger. Phone +47 51 55 11 11.
Hermetikken
MICHELIN: One Star, 2026 MICHELIN Guide (MICHELIN Guide page)
Book: Reserve at Hermetikken. This is the "Reserver bord" and "Booking" link on hermetikken-restaurant.no.
In its own words (our translation from Norwegian): Hermetikken describes itself as an intimate restaurant where the open kitchen is the heart of the place. It says it cooks with produce it's proud of and serves wine from people who really care about what they do. It lets the season steer the menu, with clean flavours, local produce and wines with character, and says craft, sustainability and real enjoyment of food are at the centre of what it does.
Location and seats, in its own words: the restaurant says it overlooks Ledaalparken, a short walk from Stavanger centre (contact page). Its homepage and booking page say there are 22 seats in the restaurant and 4 at the kitchen counter.
Menus and prices (checked 18 October 2026) (menu; Saturday lunch):
- OMA(K)ASE: dinner kr 2 495, wine menu kr 2 495. 12 servings, about 3.5 hours.
- PETIT OMA(K)ASE: dinner kr 1 995, wine menu kr 1 995. 6 servings, about 2.5 hours. Served Tuesday to Thursday only.
- Lunsjlørdag (Saturday lunch): lunch menu kr 1 795, wine menu kr 1 795. Service starts at 14.00.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 17.45–00.00, Saturday 14.00–01.00, closed Sunday and Monday.
Dietary and booking notes (booking page): the restaurant says it can adapt for coeliac/gluten-free, lactose/milk protein, pescatarian and vegetarian diets, but not vegan. Note allergies in the comments field when you book. Groups of six or more should email [email protected].
Address: Niels Juels gate 50, 4008 Stavanger.
K2
MICHELIN: One Star, 2026 MICHELIN Guide (MICHELIN Guide page)
Book: Reserve at K2. This is the "Booking" link on restaurantk2.no.
In its own words: K2 says it's a family-owned restaurant run by Elisabeth Kress and Ola Klepp, "the two K´s". Their aim is to serve high-level food and drinks "as smart and sustainable as possible", with a set menu of locally sourced produce that is "circular with minimum waste". The couple say they opened in May 2020 (contact page). The philosophy page lists their principles, including working with the seasons, keeping waste low, sourcing organic produce and buying locally in Rogaland.
Menu and prices (checked 18 October 2026) (menu page): the site says Wednesday and Thursday guests can choose 5 or 10 courses, and Friday and Saturday guests get the 10-course set menu. It says there's always a meat-and-fish menu or a vegetarian menu, and a vegan menu on request.
- 10course menu: 1690,-. Pairing 1430,-, non-alcoholic pairing 950,-.
- 5course menu: 960,-. Pairing 780,-, non-alcoholic pairing 540,-.
The site says groups of more than 10 should contact the restaurant directly about a custom menu and price.
Opening hours: Wednesday to Saturday from 6pm (contact page). The philosophy page also lists a 2026 goal to close on Wednesdays when there are no events or outside peak season, so check the booking page if you're planning a Wednesday.
Address: Pedersgata 69, 4013 Stavanger. Email [email protected], phone +47 979 56 120.
Sabi Omakase Stavanger
MICHELIN: One Star, 2026 MICHELIN Guide (MICHELIN Guide page)
Check before you book: the restaurant's own site looks out of date in places. When we checked on 18 October 2026, its booking button still read "Bookings Available 2024 & 2025" and its footer said © 2020. The restaurant is listed with one star in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide, but we couldn't confirm 2026 dates or the current price from its own site. Check availability on the booking page (the "To Order a Table" link on omakase.no), or contact the restaurant (+47 925 43 781, [email protected]) before you plan around it.
In its own words: the restaurant's site introduces sushi master Roger Asakil Joya and says he opened the restaurant in Stavanger in 2015. It describes its style as "Edomae sushi" combined with locally sourced Nordic fish, seafood and meat. Roger calls his own version "Nor-Mae sushi".
Menu and price (as shown on its site, 18 October 2026): the "Omakase Experience" is a set menu of 18 courses. The site gives the price as "Price P/Meal 3500,-NOK", and says wine, sake and drinks are available in the restaurant. Given the out-of-date parts of the site, confirm the price when you book.
Opening hours and seats: Wednesday to Saturday, 19:00–00:00. The site says there are 10 seats, that you should book in advance, and that walk-ins aren't accepted.
Address: Pedersgata 38, 4013 Stavanger. Phone +47 925 43 781.
Sirkus Renaa (not in the MICHELIN Guide)
Sirkus Renaa wasn't listed in the MICHELIN Guide when we checked (18 October 2026). Its own site names Torill and Sven Erik Renaa, the couple behind RE-NAA, as the people behind it. In our translation from Norwegian, it describes itself as a meeting place, with products from its patisserie, bakery, chocolate and ice-cream factory, pizzeria, café, restaurant and bar. According to the homepage, the pizza at Lagårdsveien and Sølvberget is made the Italian way with good local produce, using a dough made with the Italian sourdough "madre".
Book a table: Sirkus Renaa booking. This is the "Book bord" link on sirkusrenaa.no.

The same page also lists Christmas and New Year opening times, so check it if you're visiting in late December.
Ouch Burger (casual option, not in the MICHELIN Guide)
Ouch Burger wasn't listed in the MICHELIN Guide when we checked (18 October 2026). We've included it for a casual meal. Its website leads with the line "Just better burgers" and describes "a super juicy, well-seasoned smashed patty with freshly-ground, high-quality beef".
Order: Order from Ouch Burger. This is the "ORDER NOW" link on ouchburger.com.
Menu examples: the site lists the OG (patty, cheese, brioche bun, burger spread, onion, lettuce, tomato and sticky pickles), the Cheesy (patty, cheese and bun, "and just that"), the Signature (with the house "secret sauce") and the Sando, a seasonal tempura or seared veggie sandwich.
Prices (checked 18 October 2026): in the restaurant's online shop, each burger as a meal with regular fries and a soda of your choice was: OG 289 kr, Cheesy 249 kr, Signature 289 kr, Sando 299 kr.
Opening hours: the homepage gives Monday–Tuesday 14–22, Wednesday–Friday 11–22, Saturday 12–22 and Sunday 13–22. The location page in its online shop lists different, shorter hours, so check the online shop on the day.
Address: Løkkeveien 9, 4008 Stavanger (location page). Phone +47 940 19 853.
Planning a weekend
Every opening day and time below comes from the restaurant's own site.
- Wednesday to Saturday is when K2 and Sabi Omakase are both open, though K2 may close on some Wednesdays (see above). Hermetikken is also open then, and opens from Tuesday.
- Hermetikken's shorter PETIT OMA(K)ASE is served Tuesday to Thursday only, and its Saturday lunch starts at 14.00.
- RE-NAA's site doesn't list opening days, so check availability on its booking page before you fix your dates.
- For daytime and casual meals, Sirkus Renaa's Lagårdsveien branch opens from 08:00 on weekdays, and Ouch Burger's site lists opening hours for every day of the week.
Why look beyond Oslo?
This is our editorial view rather than a fact claim. For a UK traveller who wants a Norwegian food weekend, Stavanger puts a three-star tasting menu and three one-star restaurants in one city, plus casual places for the rest of the day. If you've already been to Oslo, or simply prefer a smaller base, it may be worth considering for a future trip.
