Planning dinner at a MICHELIN-starred restaurant in Stockholm comes down to the same practical questions at each one: what the menu costs, which nights it's open and how far ahead tables go. This guide to Michelin restaurants in Stockholm covers four of them: two-star Aira and three one-star restaurants, Ekstedt, Nour and Operakällaren. Star status follows the MICHELIN Guide as we checked it on 21 October 2026. Prices, opening hours and booking rules come from each restaurant's own website, checked on 21 October 2026. Menus and prices change with the seasons, so check the restaurant's site before you book.

Each of the four also has its own page with the key facts at a glance: Aira, Ekstedt, Nour and Operakällaren. For all of them side by side, see our Stockholm page.

The Michelin view

As listed at guide.michelin.com when we checked on 21 October 2026, each in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide:

Nour One MICHELIN Star MICHELIN Guide
Operakällaren One MICHELIN Star MICHELIN Guide

Stockholm's three-star restaurant in the Guide is Frantzén (three-star listing). We couldn't open its website when we checked, so it isn't covered here.

Read the inspectors' full write-ups on each restaurant's MICHELIN Guide page.

Aira

Distinction: Two MICHELIN Stars, 2026 MICHELIN Guide (MICHELIN Guide), as listed when we checked on 21 October 2026.

Aira's website describes it as "a 2-star MICHELIN restaurant by chefs Tommy Myllymäki and Pi Le" (website). The restaurant says it sits in "a boatyard-inspired building built in 2020, designed by renowned Swedish architect Jonas Bohlin" (restaurant page).

The menu and prices: Aira serves a tasting menu at every service, and a shorter prix fixe at lunch on Thursday and Friday. Prices as shown on its menu page, checked on 21 October 2026:

On its own telling, "at Ekstedt, everything revolves around fire". The restaurant says it opened in 2011, that every dish is cooked over open flames, and that it is led by Head Chef Florencia Abella (about page).

The menu and prices: as shown on its menu page, checked on 21 October 2026:

The site also lists special opening hours on 7, 14, 21 and 22 December (5.30 pm to 1 am).

Booking: the restaurant says it takes reservations three months in advance and releases tables one day at a time. If your date is full, it suggests joining the waiting list. It asks you to set aside three hours for dinner, and says it is cash-free. The limit is 6 people per party; for 6 or more, contact info@ekstedt.nu or +468 611 12 10 (about page).

Cancellation and other rules: cancellations later than 48 hours before the reservation incur a fee of SEK 2,900 per person. There is no private dining room. Subject to availability from Tuesday to Thursday, groups of 7 to 10 can be seated at two tables next to each other, with a minimum spend of SEK 5,700 per person. Operakällaren

Distinction: One MICHELIN Star, 2026 MICHELIN Guide (MICHELIN Guide), as listed when we checked on 21 October 2026.

Timing matters here. Operakällaren's website says it will close at the end of December 2026 for a multi-year renovation (website). The restaurant uses the line "culinary sensations since 1787", and its website names Emanuel Tärnqvist as "Executive Chef & Culinary Leader".

The menu and prices: as shown on the website, checked on 21 October 2026:

  • Chef's Choice Menu, SEK 3,300 per person. The price we list as Operakällaren's tasting menu. The restaurant says it can be chosen on arrival, with no pre-booking needed.
  • Seasonal autumn set menu, 2400 SEK. Only until 13 November: the Autumn À la Carte, served Wednesday through Saturday, which the restaurant says includes snacks, a starter, a main course, a dessert and mignardises.
  • Wine pairings can be ordered at the restaurant. The website doesn't list their price.
  • Christmas dinner, 1795 SEK. A classic Swedish Christmas buffet, available from 19 November to 24 December.

When: the website says Operakällaren is open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday, and its footer gives the opening hours as Wednesday to Saturday from 6 PM to 01 AM.

Booking: through the "Reservation" button on the website. The website notes that a request doesn't guarantee a reservation, so wait for confirmation before you plan around it.

Private rooms: the Chambre Séparée, Steinwallsrummet, takes up to 18 guests, with a set menu at 2800 SEK per person. Nobiskällaren, the wine cellar, is for private groups of 10 to 16, with a set menu from 5000 SEK per person including wine pairing. Contact matsal@operakallaren.se for both (website).

Gift cards: the website says gift cards are valid across all Nobis Hospitality destinations, but can no longer be redeemed at Operakällaren from January 2027.

Address and contact: Karl XII:s Torg 3, 111 47 Stockholm. +46 8 – 676 58 01, matsal@operakallaren.se (website).

Planning a Stockholm trip around these tables

Book the table first. Ekstedt and Nour both take bookings three months ahead and release one day at a time, so the date you want opens exactly three months before. Booking dinner before flights and a hotel avoids planning a trip around a date you can't get.

Match the night to the restaurant. Aira and Ekstedt are open Tuesday to Saturday, while Nour and Operakällaren open Wednesday to Saturday, by their websites' hours. None of the four lists Sunday or Monday in its regular weekly hours, though Aira and Ekstedt list some special dates around Christmas, so check their sites if you're travelling in December.

Operakällaren's last months. If it's on your list, it closes at the end of December 2026 for renovation, by its own website.

Lunch at Aira. Aira serves lunch from Thursday to Saturday, and its prix fixe at Thursday and Friday lunch is 2350,- against 3950,- for the tasting menu.

Budget in kronor. Menus as listed on 21 October 2026: Aira 3950,- (tasting menu), Ekstedt SEK 2.900, Nour 2150 / 2750 SEK, and Operakällaren's Chef's Choice tasting menu SEK 3,300. Drinks pairings are extra. Convert at your bank's rate on the day of travel.

Groups. Ekstedt's limit is 6 per party and Aira's main room takes up to 6. For larger groups, look at Aira's Chef's Table (2 to 8) or Private Dining Room (up to 14), Nour's Chambre Séparée (6 to 10), or Operakällaren's private rooms.

Prices in this guide are as each restaurant showed them on 21 October 2026. Set a reminder for the booking window, check the restaurant's site before you pay, and read the cancellation terms.
